Monzatech Smart Water Pump
MWP is an electronically controlled electric pump for cooling circuits in motor vehicles. The patented system, composed of pump + electronics, can autonomously keep the user-set temperature constant.
HOW IT WORKS
Unlike traditional mechanical pumps, Monzatech electric pumps operate independently of the engine RPM. In this way, the pump's operation can be controlled through the electronic control unit.
Thanks to temperature sensors, the system can establish the amount of heat produced by the engine and the quantity disposed of by the radiator, varying the pump's rotation speed to maintain the set temperature. Depending on the version, the radiator fans can also be controlled in a way.
This graph shows how the engine with the MWP water pump (green line) reaches an operating temperature much earlier than a traditional mechanical pump (red line). Also, when the vehicle stops, the temperature remains properly managed, as the engine-cooling flow does not stop. In this way the localised build-up of heat in the cylinder is avoided, and with it the premature degradation of the engine, as is the case with a traditional mechanical pump.
Monzatech pumps are available with different flow rates suitable for both 2T and 4T engines. The greater the motor's power, the greater the flow rate required. The installation can be performed by keeping the original mechanical pump, to relieve its operation, or by removing it to have complete electrical or electronic control of the cooling circuit.
MOTORBIKES AND QUAD
The small size allows installation from motocross to the most extreme roads bike. The pump help to reduce the heat quantity on open roads as on the circuit.
On quad bikes, it is optimal for reducing thermal stress when under strain.
Thanks to the complete reversibility of the installation, Monzatech pumps are the best choice for vintage cars, where problems often occur with controlling the coolant temperature in summer or winter.
